During their meeting, General Anil Chauhan praised the successful execution of the 17th Military Sub Group Meeting and expressed optimism about fostering a deeper, more integrated, and future-ready defence partnership between India and the UK.
UK's High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, along with other officials, participated in the discussions.
In a statement from the Headquarters of Integrated Defence Staff shared on X, it was noted, "General Anil Chauhan, CDS, met with Air Chief Marshal Sir Harvey Smyth, Chief of Air Staff, Royal Air Force, reaffirming the strengthening ties within the India–UK Defence Partnership. The exchange of instructors remains a pivotal aspect of our bilateral cooperation, alongside notable progress in enhancing Defence Intelligence collaboration."
Furthermore, the CDS commended the successful implementation of the 17th Military Sub Group Meeting and reiterated the aim of advancing a more integrated and future-ready defence collaboration.
During his official visit to India, Air Chief Marshal Sir Harvey Smyth also met with the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh, on Monday, where they focused on improving operational cooperation, interoperability, and fortifying air power relations.
