New Delhi, March 9 (NationPress) Indian airlines are set to initiate 50 inbound flights from the West Asia region, which has been affected by the ongoing Iran conflict on Monday, contingent on operational feasibility and the existing circumstances, as per a government announcement.
Air India, Air India Express, Indigo, Spicejet, and Akasa are scheduled to operate flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Muscat, and Jeddah.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation is actively observing the changing circumstances in West Asia that impact air travel between India and the region.

On March 8, Indian carriers had planned 49 inbound flights from various airports in the area.
Additionally, Indian airlines are consistently evaluating the situation on the ground at other regional airports to facilitate more flights, as mentioned by the ministry.
The ministry remains in constant communication with airlines and other stakeholders. Airfares are also being monitored closely to maintain reasonable ticket prices and prevent any undue surges during this period.
“Passengers are encouraged to stay updated with their respective airlines for the latest flight schedule changes. The Ministry will continue to keep a close watch on the situation and provide updates as necessary,” the statement added.
