During his participation in the ‘Kashur Riwaaj 2025’ event in Baramulla, he extended his congratulations to 20,000 young individuals for their historic achievement of coming together to set a new world record in ‘Ladishah’ (a form of Kashmiri solo street theatre) and Calligraphy.

The L-G praised the remarkable efforts made by the Indian Army and the District Administration of Baramulla, stating: “I commend the unwavering dedication and commitment of our Army. They are not only protecting the nation's unity and integrity but also actively preserving the vibrant cultural heritage of this region while continuously striving to realize the dreams and aspirations of our youth.”

He expressed national gratitude to the Army, Paramilitary, and Police forces for the successful execution of Operation Mahadev, which led to the elimination of three Pakistani terrorists involved in the heinous Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, carried out in the Dachigam forest.

The L-G noted, “The Indian Army has consistently strived to channel this power for societal benefit, creating avenues for the youth to enhance national unity through literature, music, art, and sports.”

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Government of India and the J&K Administration, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to empower the youth of J&K.

“With a holistic government approach, we are aligning the aspirations of Jammu and Kashmir's youth with those of the nation.”

Furthermore, he urged the youth to transcend language, sect, and religion, and unite against those who incite public unrest.

“There are negative elements within society that seek to rationalize terrorism and the loss of innocent lives while attempting to stifle the dreams and aspirations of countless youth.”
