New Delhi, Oct 11 (NationPress) Maritime experts and naval leaders from around the globe will convene to address strategies for enhancing the security and prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region at the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue 2025, organized by the Indian Navy later this month, as stated by an official on Saturday.
The three-day dialogue, commencing on October 28, will delve into critical topics such as capacity-building, capability-enhancement, maritime security, strategic coordination, blue economy, climate resilience, disaster preparedness, technology, connectivity, and future infrastructure, as highlighted by the spokesperson of the Indian Navy.
“Hosted by the Indian Navy, in partnership with the National Maritime Foundation (NMF) as its knowledge partner, IPRD 2025 stands as India’s premier international conference focused on maritime strategy, diplomacy, and collaboration,” the spokesperson noted in a post on social media.
He further emphasized, “The Indo-Pacific is undergoing rapid transformation. Maritime security challenges, climate change, and supply-chain disruptions are reshaping the region, necessitating innovative ideas, stronger partnerships, and smarter strategies.”
The Navy spokesperson stated that the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue 2025 will bring together global maritime experts, naval leaders, policymakers, and strategic thinkers to collaboratively build capacity and enhance capability for a resilient, secure, and prosperous Indo-Pacific.
This conference is set to take place at Delhi’s Manekshaw Centre from October 28-30.
On a related note, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, during his official visit to Australia, toured the historic and strategic naval facility HMAS Kuttabul in Sydney.
In a social media update, Singh expressed, “I explored the impressive facilities at Sydney Harbour aboard Admiral Hudson. Both nations stand to gain from strengthening India-Australia naval collaboration and coordinated maritime domain awareness in the Indo-Pacific region.”
In a recent post, Defence Australia announced, “The Australia-India Defence relationship has been elevated during a visit by India’s Defence Minister, @RajnathSingh. The inaugural Australia-India Defence Ministers’ Dialogue at Parliament House demonstrates our commitment to deepening defence cooperation.”
“New bilateral arrangements will initiate Joint Staff Talks between our defence forces, enhancing military cooperation. As top-tier security partners, Australia and India are dedicated to upholding stability in the Indo-Pacific,” the post concluded.
