Riyadh, May 29 (NationPress) An all-party delegation, spearheaded by BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda, engaged with Mushabab Al-Qahtani, the Director General of the Prince Saud Al Faisal Institute of Diplomatic Studies in Saudi Arabia, emphasizing India's steadfast commitment to countering terrorism.
On social media platform X, the Embassy of India in Riyadh stated: "The All-Party delegation, guided by @PandaJay, met H.E. Dr. Mushabab Al-Qahtani, DG, Prince Saud Al Faisal Institute of Diplomatic Studies @KSAPSAIDS & reiterated India’s unwavering resolve to tackle terrorism in all its manifestations. They also explored the strategic ties between India and Saudi Arabia."
The delegation reached Riyadh early on Wednesday (Indian time) and subsequently interacted with India's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Suhel Khan, at the India House.
Following this, the delegation paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.
"Together with my colleagues from the all-party delegation, we honored Mahatma Gandhi, celebrating his enduring message of peace, non-violence & tolerance. We also had extensive discussions with Ambassador Suhel Khan, reaffirming India's strong stance against terrorism and our dedication to global peace," Panda shared on X.
Throughout their three-day visit, the delegation will engage with various political figures, government representatives, thought leaders, business professionals, and media personnel. They will also connect with members of the Indian community, as stated by the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.
The delegation's objective in Riyadh is to underscore the significance of Operation Sindoor and India’s ongoing battle against Pakistan-supported cross-border terrorism, following successful discussions in Kuwait and Bahrain.
"India's position on terrorism is firm and unwavering—a message we carry to Saudi Arabia with our all-party delegation. We appreciate the warm reception from Abdulrahman Alharbi, Chair of the Saudi Arabia-India Friendship Committee of the Sura Council, as we initiate crucial discussions to enhance our expanding partnership," Panda expressed on X.
Leading the delegation, Panda is joined by BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, Asaduddin Owaisi from the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), Satnam Singh Sandhu, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and former Indian diplomat Harsh Vardhan Shringla.
