Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Dec 6 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that India is embracing self-confidence, establishing itself as a pillar of trust in the midst of global uncertainties. Addressing the HT Leadership Summit 2025, he noted that while the world discusses economic slowdown, India is crafting narratives of growth. In a world fraught with trust crises, India stands out as a beacon of hope.
He remarked on the various challenges of the 21st century, including financial crises, a global pandemic, and technological upheavals that have put nations to the test. However, India remains distinct, showcasing unwavering confidence and growth.
“As we navigate through the first quarter of this century, we have witnessed numerous ups and downs. Yet, despite these global challenges, India is thriving with self-assurance,” the Prime Minister stated.
He highlighted that 2025 presented strong macroeconomic indicators, positioning India as a key growth engine for the global economy. With global growth at around 3 percent and G7 economies hovering near 1.5 percent, India exemplifies high growth coupled with low inflation.
According to PM Modi, India's growth transcends mere statistics; it reflects a transformative mindset, resilience, and more. He pointed out that India's smaller towns and villages are evolving into MSME and startup hubs.
“Our rural areas and smaller cities are now embracing advanced technologies. These regions are becoming centers for MSMEs, and farmers are now linked to a global marketplace,” he stated, adding that Indian women are also asserting their presence on international platforms.
The Prime Minister also discussed a significant shift in India's approach to reforms. “Historically, reforms were reactive, often implemented for political gain or to address crises. Today, reform is a fundamental aspect of our growth, driven by our commitment to prioritizing the nation,” he concluded.
