New Delhi, Sep 1 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the remarkable progress India has made in the semiconductor sector during his address on Monday, ahead of the inauguration of a significant conference on Tuesday focused on themes such as semiconductor fabs, advanced packaging, artificial intelligence, research, and investment.
PM Modi is set to inaugurate ‘Semicon India-2025’ at approximately 10 a.m. at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, a platform designed to catalyze the semiconductor ecosystem in India.
“Tomorrow at 10 a.m., I will inaugurate Semicon India - 2025, an essential gathering for leading stakeholders in the semiconductor industry. India has made remarkable strides in this field. The conference will delve into critical topics such as semiconductor fabs, advanced packaging, artificial intelligence, research, and investment,” the Prime Minister stated in a post on X.
This three-day conference will aim to build a strong, resilient, and sustainable semiconductor ecosystem in India.
Discussions will encompass the progress of the Semicon India Programme, projects on semiconductor fab and advanced packaging, infrastructure readiness, smart manufacturing, innovations in R&D, investment opportunities, and state-level policy implementations.
Furthermore, the event will spotlight initiatives under the Design Linked Incentive (DLI) scheme, the growth of the startup ecosystem, international collaborations, and future strategies for India’s semiconductor sector.
More than 20,750 participants are expected, including over 2,500 delegates from 48 countries, 150 speakers, among whom are 50 global leaders, and over 350 exhibitors.
Additionally, the conference will feature roundtable discussions involving six countries, designated pavilions for workforce development and startups, and more.
Global Semicon conferences aim to maximize the reach of technological advancements in the semiconductor domain and share policies from various nations to fortify their semiconductor ecosystems.
