Bhopal, April 23 (NationPress) A resident of Indore tragically lost his life during a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, located in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per police reports, Sushil Nathaniel, along with his wife and two children, had traveled to Jammu and Kashmir for a vacation.
On Tuesday evening, a terrorist opened fire on the family, resulting in the fatal injury of Nathaniel. His remains are expected to arrive in Indore at 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday via an Air India flight.
Nathaniel's daughter, Akanksha, was injured by a gunshot wound to her leg but managed to survive. The terrorists questioned Nathaniel about his faith and demanded he recite a specific prayer.
When Nathaniel identified his faith as Christianity, he was shot. The devastating news of his death reached his family through a phone call from his son.
The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, expressed his condolences on X, stating, "The passing of Indore resident Shri Sushil ji in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam is profoundly saddening. I pray to Baba Mahakal (Lord Shiva) to grant him a place at his lotus feet..."
