New Delhi, April 16 (NationPress) The Minister of State for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, initiated discussions at the “Chintan Shivir 2026,” a pivotal event aimed at examining essential policies, enhancing institutions, and shaping the future trajectory of the Ayush sector.

Jadhav emphasized that the Chintan Shivir represents the government's determination to enhance policy frameworks and ensure effective execution within the Ayush sector.

Building on the groundwork laid by the inaugural Shivir, he remarked that the current gathering seeks to evaluate advancements, pinpoint deficiencies, and devise a pragmatic, future-oriented strategy.

He also underscored the increasing significance of Ayush in tackling lifestyle-related issues with its comprehensive approach, resonating with the vision of “One Earth, One Family, One Future” and the initiative “Heal in India, Heal by India.”

This two-day strategic brainstorming session in Delhi features multiple sessions focused on various Ayush sectors and is expected to wrap up on Friday.

Jadhav noted that the heightened budget allocation signifies the government’s dedication to enhancing education, research, infrastructure, and international outreach in the Ayush domain.

He stressed the necessity for evidence-based research, collaboration between ministries, and a comprehensive government approach, while advocating for increased emphasis on innovation, digitalization, entrepreneurship, and public awareness.

Encouraging stakeholders to convert discussions into actionable results at the grassroots level, he expressed optimism that Ayush will be instrumental in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The Secretary of Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, stated that the Chintan Shivir serves as a crucial platform for assessing progress and shaping the future strategy of the Ayush sector.

He mentioned that under Jadhav’s leadership, the Ministry is advancing Ayush through the integration of traditional wisdom with contemporary science, alongside enhancing research, international collaboration, and public outreach.

Kotecha expressed confidence that the discussions will lead to actionable, time-sensitive results contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

A notable moment during the inaugural session was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, and the General Insurance Council, marking a significant advancement towards broadening insurance coverage and enhancing claims settlement processes for Ayush treatments.

Prof. P.K. Prajapati, Director of AIIA, and Kasturi Sengupta, Secretary General of the General Insurance Council, exchanged the MoU.

The Union Ayush Minister also launched the Ministry's official WhatsApp channel to enhance real-time communication and engage citizens.
