New Delhi, April 16 (NationPress) - Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, stated on Thursday that the Ayush sector is set to play a pivotal role in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 during the inauguration of the two-day “Chintan Shivir 2026” in the capital city.

He emphasized the increasing importance of Ayush in addressing lifestyle-related disorders, asserting that its comprehensive approach resonates with the global vision of “One Earth, One Family, One Future” and India's initiative for “Heal in India, Heal by India”.
Furthermore, he highlighted that enhanced budget allocations reflect the government’s dedication to elevating education, research, infrastructure, and international outreach within the sector.
Jadhav reiterated the necessity of concentrating on evidence-based research, inter-ministerial collaboration, and a holistic governmental strategy.
He advocated for a stronger focus on innovation, digitalization, entrepreneurship, and public awareness, urging stakeholders to convert policy discussions into concrete results at the grassroots level.
Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, remarked that the Chintan Shivir offers a vital platform to evaluate achievements and sculpt the sector's future direction.
“The ministry is striving to harmonize traditional wisdom with modern science while bolstering research, global partnerships, and community outreach,” he noted.

A significant feature of the inaugural session was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the All India Institute of Ayurveda and the General Insurance Council.
The agreement is anticipated to broaden insurance coverage and enhance claim settlement processes for Ayush treatments, with the MoU exchanged between Prof. P.K. Prajapati and Kasturi Sengupta in the minister's presence.
