Srinagar, Nov 14 (NationPress) The Jammu and Kashmir Police took decisive action on Friday, seizing the residential property of a separatist in Pulwama district, currently residing in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

A statement from the police revealed that the Awantipora police department attached a residential house along with four marlas of land, recorded under Survey No. 4008, belonging to Mohd. Yaqoob Sheikh, a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples' League. He is the son of Abdul Salam Sheikh and hails from the Namblabal area of Pampore but is now based in PoK.

The attachment was executed under the directives of the Pulwama Court of Additional Sessions (Special Designated Court under NIA Act) in relation to case FIR No. 24/2024, filed at the Pampore police station. This case involves serious charges under Sections 121 & 121A of the IPC and Sections 10, 13 of the ULA(P) Act.

This property seizure reflects a significant effort to dismantle separatist networks and counter unlawful activities that threaten national security.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police affirm their unwavering commitment to enforce strict measures against individuals and entities undermining the sovereignty, integrity, and peace of the region.

In collaboration with security forces, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have intensified operations against terrorists and their support networks.

These operations have gained urgency following the recent Delhi terror blast, which resulted in the death of a local doctor, Dr. Umar Nabi, from Pulwama.

This tragic incident claimed the lives of thirteen innocent civilians and left ten others injured in a car blast near the Red Fort in Delhi.

Authorities linked the blast to the dismantling of a terror module by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and Haryana Police in the Faridabad area.

While three doctors were arrested during this operation, Dr. Umar Nabi had been evading capture.

Following the tragic event, the DNA of the deceased doctor was matched with that of his mother to establish his identity.

In the early hours of Friday, security forces proceeded to demolish Dr. Umar Nabi's house in Koil village, Pulwama, ensuring the safe evacuation of his family members.
