Speaking at an event following the launch of the City Surveillance and Management System, the Chief Minister stated that the government has initiated a significant offensive against drug abuse.
He indicated that this carefully orchestrated campaign aims to disrupt the drug supply chains, imprison drug traffickers, and facilitate the rehabilitation of those suffering from addiction.
Mann expressed gratitude towards the public for their enthusiastic participation in the anti-drug initiative, but emphasized that the fight cannot prevail without the community's proactive involvement.
The Chief Minister encouraged the public to report any drug smugglers engaged in this grave crime, assuring that strict punitive measures will follow.
He remarked that properties acquired by drug traffickers through illicit funds are being demolished and seized as part of the extensive government operation.
Mann assured that the anti-drug effort will persist until every last trace of this crisis is eliminated from the state. He highlighted the pro-people measures taken by the government, noting that over 51,000 youths have secured government employment, 90% of households are receiving zero bills, and more than 2.5 crore individuals have benefited from free treatment at Aam Aadmi Clinics, among other initiatives.
The Chief Minister mentioned that in addition to fulfilling all commitments made to the public, the government has undertaken various projects that were never part of their original promises.
Mann stated that they are dedicated to serving the community and are not from a traditional political background, which drives them to honor every commitment made to the citizens.
Moreover, the Chief Minister announced the launch of a pioneering initiative in the nation, a dedicated Sadak Surakhya Force, designed to bolster security and protect valuable lives on both state and national highways.
