Bhopal, March 18 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has initiated a judicial inquiry into a recent anti-Naxal operation in Mandla district, following the revelation that a Maoist, who was shot dead by police, was actually an innocent tribal youth. The operation was executed by the Hawk Force of the Madhya Pradesh police, targeting a Maoist identified as Hiran Singh Parte.
However, it was later discovered that Hiran Singh Parte (38), a member of the Baiga community, classified as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group, was not affiliated with the Naxals. In response, the opposition Congress party has been calling for a judicial inquiry into the circumstances surrounding this incident. During the ongoing Assembly session, a group of Congress MLAs representing the Tribal community raised this matter and sought a discussion.
Shortly after, the office of the Chief Minister released a statement indicating that an inquiry had indeed been ordered. In addition to the inquiry, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has also approved a financial aid of Rs 10 lakh as compensation for the family of the deceased tribal.
According to the statement from the Chief Minister's office, "Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has sanctioned financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh from the Mukhya Mantri Swechhanudan Fund to Bisro Bai Parte, widow of late Hiran Singh Parte, a resident of Mandla district."
This assistance was authorized following the passing of Hiran Singh Parte, who resided in village Khatia within Bichhiya tehsil, on March 9. Furthermore, the Collector of Mandla has been instructed to conduct a judicial inquiry into the event.
