K. Annamalai's Protest Against DMK Governance to Ignite Statewide Uprising: Tamil Nadu BJP

Chennai, Dec 27 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu BJP spokesperson and senior leader ANS Prasad articulated on Friday that the declaration of protests by party state president K. Annamalai against the DMK government is poised to create a surge of resistance across the state.
The senior BJP figure asserted that the DMK's governance, akin to Aurangzeb's tyranny, has led to widespread dissatisfaction in every household, claiming that trust has eroded due to unkept promises and escalating crime rates.
Annamalai's distinctive protest, involving self-inflicted six blows, symbolizes the anguish of the voters in Tamil Nadu, noted ANS Prasad.
He mentioned that the TN BJP plans to conduct protests outside every household, encouraging support for a change in governance.
The spokesperson emphasized that this peaceful movement aims to provide relief to the troubled populace.
He highlighted that the recent incident of sexual harassment at Anna University reveals the DMK government's significant failures.
Prasad accused the alleged perpetrator, reportedly associated with the DMK, of illustrating the party's deep-rooted criminality.
He pointed out that the absence of CCTV cameras and security personnel on campus raises serious concerns.
The senior BJP leader condemned the DMK government's efforts to suppress peaceful protests, including the arrest of BJP leaders like Tamilisai Soundararajan.
He stated that the police force should be safeguarding students rather than suppressing dissent.
Prasad asserted that the BJP demands justice for the victim and swift action against the offenders. He also called for the installation of CCTV cameras and security staff on campuses and protective measures for whistleblowers.
ANS Prasad concluded by asserting that Tamil Nadu deserves more and that the DMK's oppressive rule must come to an end, adding that the BJP's fight will persist until the voices of the people are recognized and justice is served.
