Mumbai, March 12 (NationPress) BJP MLA Ram Kadam came forward to support Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in his government's resolve to take stringent actions against those breaching the noise regulations for loudspeakers in places of worship across the state.
This statement follows Fadnavis' emphasis in the state Legislative Assembly on the necessity of complying with the regulations put forth by both the Central government and the judiciary.
"The use of loudspeakers in places of worship must adhere to the established guidelines," CM Fadnavis remarked.
"Individuals who disregard these limits will encounter serious repercussions."
The Chief Minister reiterated the rules: No loudspeaker usage is allowed from 10 pm to 6 am, with permitted sound levels restricted to 55 decibels during the day and 45 decibels at night.
BJP MLA Ram Kadam, speaking with IANS, supported Fadnavis' viewpoint, asserting that these actions align with respecting the judicial ruling.
"The Chief Minister's remarks are not targeted at any specific community but signify the court's decision. We must honor and accept the judiciary's verdict, which serves the nation's welfare," Kadam commented.
Kadam also addressed the controversy surrounding the Ladki Bahini Yojana, where opposition figures have raised issues regarding the Maharashtra government’s financial aid to women.
Critics have highlighted that the promised Rs 2,100 per month to women has not been disbursed. However, Kadam responded, stating: "Those questioning us have never contributed a single rupee for women's welfare. They have misappropriated funds meant for women's benefits. We are currently providing Rs 1,500, and if we remain in power, we will increase this amount."
Kadam further commented on former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, following a Delhi court's ruling to file an FIR against him for erecting hoardings. The complaint alleged that Kejriwal and his party misused public resources to set up unauthorized hoardings in Dwarka.
"Kejriwal once presented himself as a people's champion, but over time, he has become involved in personal excesses, such as using public funds for the Sheesh Mahal," Kadam remarked.
"This is no longer a secret," he concluded.
