Bengaluru, Nov 14 (NationPress) A gathering to commemorate the remarkable triumph in the Bihar Assembly elections took place near the State BJP Office in Bengaluru on Friday.

Leaders from the Karnataka BJP Unit, during the festivities, asserted that the ruling Congress will encounter a similar outcome in the forthcoming elections in the state after two years.

Prominent BJP figures, including the Leader of the Opposition R. Ashoka and the Leader of the Opposition in the Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, assembled in front of the state BJP headquarters, Jagannath Bhavan, alongside numerous supporters.

The BJP officials shared sweets among each other and with the public, displayed BJP flags, and shouted slogans in favor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the BJP party. Party leaders and supporters celebrated the victory with dance and cheer.

Notable attendees included Legislative Council Opposition Chief Whip N. Ravikumar, State General Secretary P. Rajeev, Rajya Sabha member Lahar Singh Siroya, MLA Dr. Chandru Lamani, Cement Manjunath, former MLA M.D. Lakshminarayana, former MP Dr. Umesh Jadhav, State Vice President N. Mahesh, State Secretary Sharanu Tallikeri, ST Morcha State President Bangaru Hanumanthu, SC Morcha State General Secretary Umesh Karajol, Bengaluru North District President S. Harish, and Bengaluru Central District President Saptagiri Gowda, among others.

Slogans such as “Today Bihar, tomorrow Karnataka”, “Bharat Mata ki Jai”, “Narendra Modi ji ki Jai”, and “Victory to the BJP” resonated through the crowd. Supporters waved flags, danced, and chanted “Wherever you look, it’s BJP”.

In a prior press conference, Ashoka remarked that the eagerly awaited results of the Bihar elections have been announced, showing that the NDA alliance has secured a two-thirds majority. The appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the diligence of Nitish Kumar have both contributed to this victory. “I extend my congratulations to the voters of Bihar for endorsing the NDA alliance spearheaded by the BJP,” he stated.

The citizens of Bihar have granted the party unexpected favor and conveyed a message to the nation that Narendra Modi’s leadership should be bolstered. Similarly, voters have made it clear that they reject the culture of violence and lawlessness. In Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav's family was poised to govern through intimidation and violence. Charges related to the fodder scam loom over Lalu Yadav’s family, Ashoka noted.

“The people of Bihar have delivered a strong message to those who have exploited the state. We embrace this outcome and anticipate similar results in Karnataka's Assembly elections in two years, as misgovernance is rampant here as well,” he stated.

“Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has been appeasing Muslims and deceiving the residents of the state. Thus, the Congress will find itself in a situation akin to that of the Mahagathbandhan in the upcoming elections. Rahul Gandhi has become a symbol of defeat, unable to handle losses, and will likely retreat to foreign lands. This election result will empower the central government further,” Ashoka remarked.

Congress representatives are repeating their claims about vote tampering and the malfunction of EVMs, which reflects their immaturity. The machines that were deemed reliable previously are now labeled as faulty. When Congress won a significant majority in Karnataka, there were no allegations of vote tampering, yet now they are claiming otherwise, Ashoka criticized.

Point of View

This celebration by the Karnataka BJP highlights the party's strategic positioning ahead of the upcoming elections. While the enthusiasm is palpable, it remains essential to analyze whether these celebrations translate into electoral success. The political landscape in Karnataka is dynamic and influenced by various factors beyond a singular victory in Bihar.
