According to him, international film festivals are invaluable as they provide insights into the lives, cultures, and values of various global societies, advocate for equality, and inspire social reform.
“At our core, we are all human. By extending love and respect to one another, we can endeavor to create a fair society. Cinema is pivotal in this journey,” the Chief Minister conveyed, adding that such festivals enhance understanding of humane interactions and progressive practices from other nations.
Reaffirming the government's dedication to nurturing the film industry, Siddaramaiah noted that the state is consistently prepared to assist filmmakers dedicated to socially impactful cinema and is willing to provide all necessary support.
He also praised actor and festival ambassador Prakash Raj, acknowledging that his influence extends beyond cinema, actively engaging in social advocacy. Siddaramaiah commended Prakash Raj’s commitment to the marginalized, farmers, Dalits, and the principles of the Constitution.
The event, led by MLA Rizwan Arshad, saw the presence of Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti, Karnataka Film Academy President Sadhu Kokila, artistic director of the festival Murali, Chief Minister’s media advisor K.V. Prabhakar, actor and festival ambassador Prakash Raj, noted actor Rukmini Vasanth, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President M.
