Karnataka Physicians Among 10 Fatalities in Andhra Pradesh Road Mishaps

Amaravati, Dec 1 (NationPress) Two physicians from Karnataka were included in the toll of 10 individuals who lost their lives in three distinct road mishaps in Andhra Pradesh.

The three incidents were reported in Andhra Pradesh since Saturday evening.

In the first accident, two doctors were among three individuals who perished and another who sustained injuries after the vehicle they were in crashed into a roadside tree near Vidapanakal village in Anantapur district early Sunday.

Authorities reported that the driver lost control of the car, resulting in a collision with the tree. The vehicle was severely damaged in the incident, and the remains of the deceased were scattered across the site.

Investigators believe that reduced visibility due to heavy fog may have contributed to the accident. Among the deceased were two doctors working at a government hospital in Bellary, Karnataka, identified as Yogesh (52) and Govindaraju (54). The driver, Venkata Naidu (53), also perished in the incident.

Furthermore, another physician, Amar Goud (55), suffered critical injuries and was transported to a hospital in Bellary. His condition remains serious. The doctors had just arrived at Bengaluru airport at 1:30 a.m. and were on their way back to Bellary after a vacation in Hong Kong.

In a separate road incident in Vizianagaram district of northern coastal Andhra, four individuals lost their lives when their vehicle collided with a truck after hitting a divider due to a tyre burst.

This accident transpired on the national highway near Polipally in Bhogapauram Mandal on Saturday night. Authorities stated that the driver lost control following a tyre burst, causing the vehicle to strike the divider before colliding with an oncoming truck.

The deceased included a jeweler, G. Kaushik (27), who was en route to Visakhapatnam Airport to pick up his uncle arriving from the United States. Accompanying him were his friend V. Abhinav (27) and Abhinav's wife, Manimala (24), who were traveling to Visakhapatnam for an exam. The four individuals, along with their driver M. Jayesh (20), tragically lost their lives in the crash.

In the third incident, three individuals were killed when their car collided with a minivan following a tyre burst on the Kankipadu flyover in Krishna district.

According to police reports, the driver lost control after one of the tyres burst, causing the vehicle to crash into a divider and subsequently collide with an approaching minivan.

All three passengers in the car died, while the minivan driver sustained serious injuries.

The deceased were named as Yesu Prabhu (29), Chinta Ravi (38), and Chili Bhanu (27), all residents of Machilipatnam. They were returning home after attending to personal affairs in Vijayawada.

In a devastating turn of events, Bhanu's family faced a double tragedy as his mother, Sudha Rani (55), succumbed to shock upon hearing the news of her son's death. She collapsed at her home in Machilipatnam and, despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, was declared dead on arrival.
