Hyderabad, May 30 (NationPress) Just days after delivering a striking statement and subtly critiquing her brother and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao, MLC K. Kavitha emphasized on Friday that she harbors no personal ambitions and that her primary goal is to preserve the party.

Kavitha reiterated her stance that the BRS should steer clear of aligning with the BJP.

During an informal conversation with journalists in Mancherial, she argued that no political entity that has partnered with the BJP has gained any advantage.

The MLC expressed her determination to voice her concerns against any attempts to merge the BRS with the BJP.

She recounted that while she was imprisoned over the Delhi liquor policy case, a proposal to merge the BRS with the BJP was put forth, which she vehemently resisted. She stated that agreeing to such a proposal would equate to admitting guilt in the liquor case.

Declaring her innocence in the matter, Kavitha asserted that the court has corroborated her claims.

Kavitha clarified that she has no intentions of establishing a new political entity and remains focused on protecting the BRS.

Additionally, she called for accountability regarding the individuals who leaked her confidential correspondence to BRS President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR).

KCR’s daughter mentioned her efforts to meet with KCR, stating she had an opportunity but was unable to connect with him.

She questioned why senior BRS leaders have not responded to the notice issued to KCR by the P.C. Ghose Commission concerning Kaleshwaram.

Kavitha claimed that KCR consistently prioritizes the public over his family. Emphasizing that her letter to KCR was borne out of sincere concern for the party, she made it clear that she would not remain silent if anyone targets KCR.

Once again defending her communication to KCR, she asserted that the issues raised in her letter reflect the sentiments of the populace.

Kavitha also criticized the BJP for engaging in unlawful actions under the pretext of Operation Kagar against Maoists. She noted that when CPI-Maoist General Secretary Nambala Keshav Rao was killed during an encounter, the BJP exhibited a lack of compassion by not returning his body to his family for final rites.

She stated that despite her persistent requests to halt Operation Kagar, the BJP government continues its violent actions.

Kavitha was in Mancherial to participate in several private events and also honored the statue of Telangana Thalli.
