Hyderabad, Sep 3 (NationPress) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy commented on the ongoing discord within the family of former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, suggesting they are reaping the consequences of their past actions.
He accused the family members of squabbling over the distribution of corruption funds and firmly stated that he is not behind any faction.
During an event in Mahabubnagar district, Revanth Reddy addressed the recent suspension of KCR's daughter, K. Kavitha, from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), following her resignation from the party.
He remarked that the KCR family’s actions are self-destructive, recalling their previous commitment to undermine opposition parties, which resulted in many being imprisoned under false allegations.
“They wished to suppress any ambitions of becoming MLAs among others. Now, they are at odds with one another. They do not require external adversaries; they can harm themselves,” he commented, highlighting the principle of reaping what one sows.
The Chief Minister pointed out that internal conflicts arose within the KCR family due to disputes over the spoils of extensive corruption.
Revanth Reddy urged the KCR family to refrain from involving him in their personal disputes. “One faction claims I support Harish Rao and Santosh Rao, while another accuses me of backing Kavitha. Why would I stand behind any trash?” he questioned.
As a leader, he asserted his commitment to represent the interests of the four crore people of Telangana.
“The populace has already turned against you; you are akin to a demonetized one-rupee note. Time will eventually erase you,” he stated.
Previously affiliated with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), he commented on its legacy. “The TDP was a remarkable party that offered opportunities to many, but due to the machinations of a few, it now faces challenges in Telangana,” he noted.
Reddy spoke during the furnace lighting ceremony for SGD-Corning Technologies Private Limited at Vemula in Mahabubnagar.
He highlighted that Palamuru (Mahabubnagar) district, once known for migration, is now becoming a center for job creation for unemployed youth.
Reddy identified irrigation and education as the two sectors needing attention in the district, with his government prioritizing both areas.
He announced plans to establish Young Indian Integrated Residential Schools in 14 constituencies within the district, with an investment of Rs 2,800 crore.
