Hyderabad, Sep 1 (NationPress) Tensions are rising within KCR’s family as K. Kavitha, daughter of the former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS MLC, has accused her cousin and former minister T. Harish Rao, along with two former MPs, of being responsible for the corruption allegations directed at her father.
Shortly after her return from the United States, Kavitha unleashed a scathing critique against Harish Rao, cousin J. Santosh Kumar, and former Rajya Sabha member Megha Krishna Reddy, asserting that their actions have unfairly tarnished her father’s reputation and that of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR).
This outburst followed the announcement by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy that the allegations concerning irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project would be investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Kavitha contended that the misdeeds of those surrounding KCR have led to the CBI inquiry against him, questioning, “Does Harish Rao, who was the irrigation minister for five years, not play a significant role in this?”
She expressed concern that while KCR focuses on the welfare of the people, those close to him colluded with large contractors for personal gain, resulting in Revanth Reddy initiating the CBI investigation.
“BRS supporters should ponder how this stain of corruption got associated with KCR. It’s due to the actions of those surrounding him,” she stated, specifically naming Harish Rao and Krishna Reddy.
Kavitha, however, defended the Kaleshwaram project, labeling it a “valuable asset,” and asserted that KCR would be remembered for his contributions to irrigation for the next 200 years, expressing confidence that he would emerge unscathed from the investigations.
She reiterated her resilience against the conspiracies orchestrated by Harish Rao and Santosh Kumar, expressing sorrow as her father faces a CBI inquiry.
Kavitha cautioned those attacking her on social media, vowing to reveal their identities and counter their actions. She alleged that personal attacks intensified following the leak of an internal letter she had penned to her father.
