Hyderabad, May 23 (NationPress) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K. Kavitha expressed on Friday that party President and former Telangana chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is akin to a deity, yet surrounded by malicious forces that are severely harming the party.
Upon her return from the United States, just a day after a letter addressed to her father K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) caused a stir within the party, Kavitha shared her thoughts.
Kavitha, KCR’s daughter, revealed her shock over how an internal communication became public. She noted that her recent discussions about conspiracies have now proven to be accurate.
“The manner in which my internal letter to KCR was leaked is something that requires contemplation by everyone in the party,” Kavitha stated, emphasizing that she holds no personal agenda.
In defense of her letter's contents, she mentioned that it reflected the sentiments of the party leaders. Kavitha clarified that she has penned internal letters to KCR before.
“KCR is our leader. The state will thrive under his stewardship. The BRS is destined to progress under his guidance,” Kavitha asserted.
She believes that addressing minor issues within the party is essential. “If we set aside the converts, the party will flourish,” she added.
Kavitha mentioned that following the April 27 Warangal public meeting celebrating the party’s silver jubilee, she had written to KCR, sharing her insights. “I wrote this letter two weeks before my return. It’s baffling how an internal letter made its way to the public. I am unaware of who might be responsible,” she explained.
Having traveled to the U.S. for her son's graduation ceremony, Kavitha was surprised to find the letter had surfaced by the time she returned.
In her six-page handwritten letter, she pointed out both the positives and negatives post the large public meeting. She advised her father to be more vocal against the BJP, criticizing that he dedicated only two minutes to the BJP in his speech, raising concerns about potential alliances.
Kavitha also criticized the party's choice not to contest the MLC election for the Hyderabad Local Authorities Constituency, arguing it sent a misleading signal that BRS was indirectly assisting BJP.
She urged KCR to provide clear direction to the party members amid the current political climate.
Additionally, she expressed disappointment over KCR not addressing issues in Urdu, including the Waqf Act, SC categorization, and reservations for Backward Classes.
The emergence of Kavitha’s letter coincided with speculation regarding her discontent over her father endorsing her brother K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) as his successor.
