Kejriwal Blames Central Government for Deteriorating Conditions in Delhi After Shahdara Shooting Incident

New Delhi, Dec 7 (NationPress) AAP National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal voiced his concerns on Saturday regarding the worsening law and order scenario in the national capital, targeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

His comments were prompted by a shocking shooting incident in Shahdara, Delhi, where a 52-year-old businessman, Sunil Jain, was fatally shot by two assailants on a motorcycle while he was returning home from a morning walk.

In a post on X, Kejriwal stated, "Amit Shah ji has ruined Delhi. He has turned Delhi into a jungle raj. People are living in fear everywhere. The BJP can no longer manage the law and order situation in Delhi. The residents of Delhi must unite and voice their concerns."

Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj also condemned the incident, calling Delhi a "crime capital."

Sunil Jain, a utensil trader, was attacked while riding his scooter home after a morning stroll at Yamuna Sports Complex.

Shahdara Deputy Commissioner of Police Prashant Gautam confirmed that police received a PCR call at 8:36 A.M., reporting that at least 7-8 bullets were fired at Jain, after which the assailants fled the scene.

Authorities are currently analyzing CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators, and initial findings suggest a premeditated motive due to the severity of the assault.

This incident has heightened concerns over public safety in Delhi, especially as there has been a recent increase in violent crimes.

In a separate violent confrontation in Govindpuri, a local resident named Sudheer was killed, and two others sustained injuries during a dispute about the cleanliness of a shared toilet. Sudheer died from stab wounds, while his brother Prem and friend Sagar are currently receiving treatment at AIIMS.

The audacious daylight killings and the surge in criminal activities, including gang-related violence such as a recent shooting by the Bambiha Gang in Rani Bagh, have intensified scrutiny on the effectiveness of law enforcement under the direction of the Union Home Ministry.
