New Delhi, Feb 27 (NationPress) Former Delhi BJP President and MP Manoj Tiwari expressed on Friday that the joy within AAP could be fleeting, as the CBI's challenge in the Delhi High Court might reverse the trial court's ruling that granted Arvind Kejriwal a reprieve in the "liquor policy scam".

During a press conference, Tiwari remarked that the legal system cannot be misled indefinitely by tampering with evidence.

Delhi BJP Media Chief Praveen Shankar Kapoor emphasized that the citizens of Delhi are well aware that former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, in collaboration with certain officials and liquor contractors, perpetrated a significant scam.

He stated that from the outset, it was evident that Kejriwal was manipulating evidence through his governmental authority.

Tiwari pointed out that with evidence accompanying the corruption accusations against AAP leaders, it has become apparent that these individuals excel at destroying evidence, repeatedly eliminating SIM cards and phones.

He highlighted that the reality regarding Kejriwal is recognized by all the mothers and sisters of Delhi whose children fell victim to alcoholism, as well as by traders involved in the corrupt practices.

Residents of Delhi are eager to know from AAP leaders, who are branding the court's ruling as a triumph for truth, why the liquor policy was retracted if it was indeed correct.

Tiwari reiterated that from the Delhi BJP President down to all the MLAs and BJP workers, there has been a consistent assertion that evidence has been tampered with, and the citizens of Delhi responded by ousting Kejriwal from power.

He noted that the Supreme Court has dismissed several bail requests from Kejriwal, restricting him from signing official documents as Chief Minister.

Responding to inquiries from journalists at the press conference, Tiwari stated that the people of Delhi deserve transparency and accountability in public policy and administrative affairs. Hence, Kejriwal is still required to address numerous questions regarding the excise policy.

He accused this policy of incurring a substantial loss to the public treasury, providing undue advantages to select private contractors, and potentially leading to kickbacks that reached AAP leaders.

Tiwari stressed that the BJP is resolute in its stance against corruption and dedicated to ensuring accountability at every level.

"This extends beyond a legal matter; it pertains to public trust. The residents of Delhi have the right to uncover the entire truth," he asserted.

Tiwari concluded by stating that the BJP will persist in highlighting the issue of this liquor policy scandal through both political and legal channels until complete transparency is achieved and those accountable are brought to justice.
