New Delhi, Jan 26 (NationPress) In anticipation of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections on February 5, the BJP unveiled a video showcasing the former residence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and ex-Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, known as 'Sheesh Mahal'.
This video was disseminated by the Delhi BJP via its official social media account on X and its YouTube channel.
In the 14-minute footage, the BJP dubbed it 'Mahathag Arvind Kejriwal's Ayyashi Ka Sheesh Mahal', highlighting that the interior of Kejriwal's home resembles a luxurious hotel, complete with modern amenities. The term 'Sheesh Mahal' was first introduced in a documentary, but this marks the inaugural release of a video depicting Kejriwal's previous residence.
The BJP also disclosed the exorbitant prices of various lavish items featured in the video. They asserted that the smart LED turntable lights in Kejriwal's residence are valued at Rs 19.5 lakh, while the 80 curtains with body sensors and remote control range from Rs 4 crore to Rs 5.6 crore. Furthermore, the cost of 16 television sets is Rs 64 lakh, a recliner sofa is Rs 10 lakh, an oven is Rs 9 lakh, and a microwave costs Rs 6 lakh. Other pricey items include decorative poles at Rs 36 lakh, toilet seats at Rs 12 lakh, and automatic doors priced at Rs 70 lakh.
Previously, the BJP alleged that marbles costing crores of rupees, commodes priced at Rs 4 lakh each, and curtains valued at Rs 8 lakh have been installed at the chief minister's residence, discussing expenditures amounting to several crores in the name of renovations.
