Extravagant Fitness Center in Kejriwal's Glass Palace, Delhi BJP Leader Accuses AAP Head of Corruption

New Delhi, Dec 10 (NationPress) After leveling multiple charges against ex-Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for constructing a 'Sheesh Mahal' for himself, the Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Tuesday shared a video on his X handle that supposedly reveals the lavish enhancements made to his former official abode at 6 Flagstaff Road, Delhi.
The video in question provides a walkthrough of the residence, highlighting the luxurious fittings and fixtures.
Sachdeva's post in Hindi conveys (English translation): "We have been exposing the reality of the glass palace of luxury belonging to the individual who claims to be a common man @ArvindKejriwal, and today we are presenting it to you as well!"
"He has constructed a 7-Star Resort for himself by misappropriating public funds! Look at the costs for the Gym-Sauna and Jacuzzi! • Marble Granite Lighting → ₹ 1.9 Cr. • Installation-Civil Work → ₹ 1.5 Cr. • Gym/Spa Equipment and Fittings → ₹ 35 Lakh. Total = ₹ 3.75 Cr.", the Delhi BJP leader writes.
While criticizing Kejriwal, who is the AAP Convenor, Sachdeva asserts in his post, "How can those who vow on their children and falsely promise not to accept government housing, vehicles, or security, steal from the taxpayers of Delhi?"
Sachdeva argues that the funds squandered on the Sheesh Mahal could have benefited the everyday people of Delhi.
"In the meantime, the average citizen of Delhi could purchase DDA's 34 EWS Flats, or 15 LIG Flats, or even 150 CNG Autos, or 326 E-Rickshaws! What a display of corruption, Kejriwal!! No further comments!!" he elaborates in his post.
Later, in a conversation with IANS about the video, Sachdeva stated, "Corruption is the primary concern of this election. We will reiterate that Arvind Kejriwal has robbed Delhi over the past decade. Today, we have presented a video of the 'Sheesh Mahal'. Facilities like bathrooms and gyms akin to those in a seven-star resort were constructed for ₹ 4 crore. This has been orchestrated by a 'Aam Aadmi' (common man) like Arvind Kejriwal in his personal residence. Arvind Kejriwal has deceived Delhi. He has plundered Delhi over the last ten years. Our battle against corruption will persist."
"The residents of Delhi are informed. Delhi serves as the nation’s capital. Everyone is aware that Arvind Kejriwal, who once proclaimed that he would reside in a two-room flat and would not accept a government residence or bungalow, has managed to furnish himself with luxuries. Where did he procure the funds? This illicit money from liquor, which could have been utilized for Delhi's advancement, has instead been spent on his extravagance," declared Sachdeva.
