Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 12 (NationPress) In a groundbreaking initiative for the nation, the Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE), which serves as the technological branch of the State General Education Department, has introduced an AI-driven, complimentary entrance coaching program targeted at nearly 800,000 Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary students enrolled in government schools.
The revamped ‘Key to Entrance’ program incorporates Artificial Intelligence through KITE’s ‘Samagra AI Learning Room’, delivering tailored preparation strategies for competitive exams such as KEAM, NEET, CUET, CA Foundation, and various PSC tests.
This initiative is inclusive of students from Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams, marking the first instance where an Indian State government has provided AI-enabled entrance coaching free of charge for learners across diverse academic fields.
KITE CEO K. Anvar Sadath stated that the AI framework develops personalized study plans based on individual student progress and examination results. The platform continuously evaluates advancements and systematically allocates question sets across three tiers: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, tailored to each student's abilities.
Over 20,000 questions, reviewed by expert educators, have been incorporated into the platform, along with comprehensive mock examinations designed to replicate actual testing environments.
The initial phase of subject training, currently operational, encompasses Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, and Political Science. The second phase, commencing on February 25, will roll out modules in English, Reasoning, and General Awareness.
Schools have been directed to facilitate widespread engagement, including outreach through Parent-Teacher Associations. Students in Classes XI and XII can access the platform at www.entrance.kite.kerala.gov.in using their Higher Secondary or Vocational application number as the User ID, with passwords issued by school principals or designated teachers.
Comprehensive user guides and video tutorials are available online. In addition to remote access from home, schools have been instructed to provide on-campus resources for students without devices or internet access.
Sessions are also aired on the KITE VICTERS channel and archived on its YouTube channel, enhancing Kerala’s commitment to integrate public education with scalable, AI-powered learning frameworks.
