On the evening of February 22, Khemchand met with Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who approved the construction of 5,000 new homes for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) affected by ethnic violence, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).
Additionally, the Chief Minister met with the Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia, who committed to collaborating with other ministries to tackle significant issues in Manipur. He also conferred with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who pledged support to improve the state's financial stability.
Moreover, discussions were held with Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who assured his ministry's full backing for Manipur's governmental initiatives. Khemchand, along with his deputy ministers, also consulted with BJP President Nitin Nabin and National General Secretary B.L. Santhosh about party-related matters pertinent to Manipur.
On February 22, Khemchand and the Deputy Chief Ministers met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah to talk about the rehabilitation of IDPs and the government's efforts to bridge community divides and restore peace within the state.
