He announced that the construction of the Moirang to Wangoo road through Kumbi is set to begin within the next 15 days. This news was shared at a reception on Wednesday held at the home of MLA Sanasam Premchandra Singh in the Bishnupur district.
During his address, Singh emphasized the government's steadfast commitment to advancing the state's development initiatives. Additionally, he revealed that work on the Napat Bridge would kick off on Thursday, with an anticipated completion time of just five days.
The Chief Minister instructed Pooja Elangbam, the Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, to prepare a progress report regarding the prefabricated housing constructions for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the district.
Singh received a warm welcome from the locals of the Thanga Assembly Constituency, led by MLA T. Robindro Singh, at his residence in Kairenphabi, Bishnupur district.
At the gathering, Singh expressed his commitment to addressing the concerns raised by the Thanga Assembly Constituency's residents, assuring them of the government's support for their development.
The reception was attended by the Superintendent of Police, Bishnupur, Shangkar Deba, along with community members from both the Kumbi and Thanga Assembly constituencies.
Expressing his gratitude, the Chief Minister thanked the BJP Karyakartas and local citizens for their warm reception.
On social media platform X, CM Singh shared: “I am thankful for the warm welcome and the two productive meetings held with party leaders and Karyakartas during my visit to Kumbi and Thanga Assembly Constituencies today. The first meeting took place at Salam Konjil, close to the residence of Hon’ble MLA Shri S.Premchandra Singh, and the second at Keirenphabi Mamang Leikai, near the home of Hon’ble MLA Shri T. Robindro Singh.”
He remarked: “Both meetings highlighted the need to strengthen the party’s grassroots connections and organizational unity. I discussed the urgent need for systematic cleansing of phumdis in Loktak Lake to protect the lives and livelihoods of our fishermen and farmers while ensuring ecological balance. I reaffirmed my commitment to enhancing connectivity through bridge construction and improving road infrastructure, which will aid our collective journey towards a Viksit Bharat and a Viksit Manipur as envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.”
