Kiren Rijiju Responds to Priyanka Gandhi's 'Dull' Comment

New Delhi, Dec 15 (NationPress) Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju took a stand against Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday after she described Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 100-minute address in Parliament as boring. Rijiju remarked that such comments stem from the fact that she is new to this.
Priyanka had criticized the speech as 'boring' and likened it to enduring a 'double period of mathematics' during school.
In her response to Modi's speech delivered on Saturday, Priyanka stated, 'The PM has not said anything new. He has bored us. It took me decades back. I felt like I was sitting in that double period of Mathematics.'
In an interview with IANS, Minister Rijiju commented, 'Perhaps she doesn't grasp the essence of what PM Modi articulated, but every point he made was significant. He presented 11 mantras aimed at transforming India into a 'developed nation.' This vision is not limited to any political party but is a collective goal that everyone should embrace.'
He further emphasized, 'We need to come together and strive towards realizing the vision of 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047. Whatever PM Modi communicates, we must unify to make India a 'developed nation.' I firmly believe we will achieve this by 2047.'
Rijiju also expressed excitement about the 'TB Mukt Bharat Awareness cricket match' taking place at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi.
He remarked, 'I am thrilled that we are gathered for this match. I am entirely confident that TB will be defeated, and our nation will emerge victorious.'
A 20-over cricket match is currently in progress, with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's team going up against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar's team.
The match commenced at 9 a.m. on Sunday and is being televised live on Doordarshan's sports channel and Sansad TV.
The 'Lok Sabha Speaker XI' is captained by Anurag Singh Thakur, while 'Rajya Sabha Chairman XI' is led by Kiren Rijiju.
