Patna, May 7 (NationPress) The chief of the Jan Suraaj Party, Prashant Kishor, has openly voiced his unwavering support for the Indian armed forces and the recent airstrikes in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (PoK). He characterized the military operation known as ‘Operation Sindoor’ as a crucial and justified action aimed at dismantling terrorist camps.
During a media interaction in Purnea as part of his Jan Suraaj Udghosh Yatra, Kishor stated, “The actions taken by the Indian Air Force are appropriate and deserving of praise. We salute our armed forces, and the entire nation stands united with them. It is vital that we allow the military and defense experts to carry out their responsibilities without any interference.”
Kishor expressed concerns about the politicization of the military's response and underscored the importance of showing restraint and respect towards the armed forces.
“This situation pertains to national security, impacting the lives of our brave soldiers and citizens. It should not be the subject of political discourse. We must permit the military and national security experts to operate decisively and strategically,” he emphasized.
The Jan Suraaj leader further insisted that the ultimate aim should be to completely eradicate terror threats to avert future attacks, and he prayed for the safety of all Indian personnel involved.
Beyond political backing, a wave of celebration has swept across various districts in Bihar, including Hajipur, Katihar, and Purnea. In Hajipur, married women celebrated the military success by applying sindoor (vermilion) to each other—a symbolic gesture representing honor and gratitude towards the defenders of their families and the nation.
Elsewhere, fireworks lit up the sky, and crowds joyously applied gulal, chanting “Jai Hind” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai” in support of the Indian Armed Forces.
Residents reiterated a unified message: “India does not initiate conflicts, but it certainly knows how to conclude them.”
The Indian Air Force executed airstrikes on nine locations linked to terror groups in Pakistan and PoK from 1:05 am to 1:30 pm on Wednesday.
Reports indicate that significant destruction occurred within those terror camps and their launch pads.
