Hyderabad, March 26 (NationPress) In a significant development, police in Telangana's Nalgonda district have initiated two legal cases against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K. T. Rama Rao regarding his social media posts concerning the 10th class examination paper leak.
The authorities have also implicated BRS social media in-charge Manne Krishank, former digital media director Dileep Konatham, and several others in the matter.
Krishank has been identified as the primary accused, while Rama Rao and Dileep are categorized as the second and third accused, respectively.
They are facing charges under sections 353 (1) C and 353 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for allegedly disseminating false information.
Rama Rao, along with Dileep, shared a post from Krishank on his 'X' account, which suggested involvement of Congress leaders in the leak of the 10th class (SSC) examination paper by a private school in Nakrekal town.
Krishank claimed that while 15 individuals were implicated, only six had been apprehended, asserting that an aide of a Congress MLA was omitted from the First Information Report (FIR) due to governmental pressure.
Nakrekal Municipal Chairperson Chougoni Rajitha filed a complaint with the police, alleging that two channels aired false news connecting her to the paper leak case. She informed the police that KTR, Krishank, and Dileep spread this misleading information on social media, harming her reputation.
Additionally, another case was filed against them based on a complaint from one Uggadi Srinivas.
In response, Krishank has labeled the charges as unfounded. He emphasized that Congress Municipal Chairman Rajitha was not mentioned in his posts on 'X', claiming that the Congress government orchestrated this leader to file the complaint.
Krishank also pointed out that they had gathered images of the accused with Congress leaders from their Facebook accounts, but all such images were deleted and the accounts were locked on Wednesday morning.
He accused the authorities of fabricating police cases against them to obscure the truth regarding the SSC paper leak and shield the involved Congress leaders.
