Hyderabad, Feb 8 (NationPress) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy accused the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of resorting to blackmail through illegal phone tapping during its administration. He labeled BRS as the Blackmail Rajikya Samithi and alleged that its leaders extorted money from citizens via phone surveillance, amassing hundreds of crores. According to him, unethical practices led to the deposit of Rs 1500 crore into the BRS party account.

Addressing a public meeting in Mulugu district as part of the Congress party’s municipal elections campaign, the Chief Minister claimed that BRS president and former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) exploited his power for personal gain over the last decade.

He cited BJP MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, a former BRS member, who alleged that the phones of business owners were tapped, pressuring them to transfer their properties.

CM Reddy criticized the Union government for not initiating a CBI investigation into the Kaleshwaram and formula e-race scams, questioning Union Minister G Kishan Reddy’s inaction on this issue. He quipped, "Kishan Reddy has been renamed Kishan Rao, becoming KCR’s adopted son."

The Chief Minister expressed outrage over the Centre’s actions against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi while questioning why a CBI probe into the Kaleshwaram scam has not been ordered. He claimed that Kishan Reddy is protecting BRS leaders KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao.

He alleged that BRS leaders have not spared anyone, including opposition leaders, journalists, judges, or even film stars, from their phone surveillance, even eavesdropping on personal conversations between spouses.

Reddy warned voters against supporting BRS and BJP, claiming they are merely two faces of the same coin, collaborating to undermine Congress.

The CM noted that KCR's family has accumulated wealth through TV channels, newspapers, and businesses worth billions, while the less fortunate have not received promised housing. He stated, "If KCR had constructed 200,000 houses annually, he could have built 2 million homes within 10 years."

CM Reddy highlighted Congress's initiative to build 3,500 Indiramma houses in each constituency, with a total of 450,000 houses planned at a cost of Rs 22,500 crore, assuring that the second phase of Indiramma houses will be included in the next budget.

He revealed that the Telangana state government has allocated Rs 17,442 crore for municipalities and corporations. Specifically, Rs 6,116 crore has been earmarked for the erstwhile Warangal district, including Rs 92 crore for the Bhupalpally municipality.

The Chief Minister condemned BRS for spreading false claims regarding the reorganization of districts, stating, "There are unfounded rumors that Bhupalpally district will be dissolved. The government is not planning to abolish any district or create new ones without first consulting the public and discussing in the Assembly.”
