Kurukshetra's Theme Park Renamed to Keshav Park

Kurukshetra, December 11 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, stated on Wednesday that the theme park found on the revered grounds of Dharmakshetra -- Kurukshetra, is to be renamed Keshav Park.
This step is intended to enhance the preservation and promotion of the cultural and spiritual legacy of Kurukshetra -- a site of great religious and historical importance in India.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister declared a special holiday for school students who participated in the Global Gita Path event held here.
He encouraged the students to make the most of this holiday by preparing thoroughly for their upcoming exams.
Chief Minister Saini took part in the Global Gita Paath -- Ashtadashi Shloka program, which saw the involvement of 18,000 children, during the International Gita Mahotsav here.
Present at the event were Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Haryana Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana, Tanzania Tourism Minister Pindi Chana, and Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand Maharaj.
While extending greetings on Margashirsha Shukla Ekadashi and Gita Jayanti, the Chief Minister offered prayers for the illumination of residents' lives with the light of knowledge.
He emphasized that 5,162 years ago on this day, Lord Krishna delivered the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.
"Today, the atmosphere resonated with the Ashtadashi verses recited by 18,000 students. It is a matter of great pride that the Gita is being recited in numerous nations around the globe," expressed the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Saini remarked that this recitation "carries both religious and scientific significance. The 18 verses recited today combine prayer, song, and a call for peace".
He added that every shloka of the Bhagavad Gita provides a new perspective and fresh inspiration for life.
"The Shrimad Bhagavad Gita transcends being a mere dialogue between Arjun and Lord Krishna; it offers answers to all our inquiries. The primary and vital message of the Gita is for every individual to adhere to their dharma and duties in life," he stated.
"When each person in society fulfills their duties with dedication, it fosters discipline and balance within the community. This teaching urges us to set aside selfishness and prioritize our responsibilities towards society and the nation," the Chief Minister concluded.
Pindi Chana, the Tanzania Tourism Minister and a partner of the International Gita Mahotsav, noted that Kurukshetra is a sacred site where the Vedas and Puranas were composed.
"In mythology, it is viewed as one of the most esteemed pilgrimage destinations. As per the Mahabharata, Kurukshetra is considered the most significant pilgrimage site. This is the very land where, thousands of years ago, Lord Krishna imparted the divine wisdom of the Gita to Arjun," she stated.
Minister Chana emphasized that the International Gita Mahotsav "is not just a religious event; it is a celebration of culture, heritage, and the essential principles of life".
She articulated that the teachings of the Gita convey that the ultimate purpose of human existence is rooted in truth and that the Gita serves as a guiding light for all facets of life, in the service of both religion and humanity.
