Patna, Aug 30 (NationPress) Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Arun Bharti stated during a press conference in Patna that his party is gearing up to contest all 243 seats in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly election. However, he emphasized that the ultimate decision will rest on a consensus within the NDA.
Bharti remarked, "A fair agreement among the five parties in the NDA is essential. Without equality, the alliance could be compromised." He dismissed misleading reports suggesting that LJP-RV would limit its participation to just 20 seats.
He reiterated his previous statement that the party aims to contest between 43 to 137 seats, deeming this range as "respectable" for LJP-RV.
In his announcement regarding the next phase of the 'Nav Sankalp Mahasabha', a statewide outreach initiative, Bharti, alongside State party President Raju Tiwari, revealed that the Mahasabha, which commenced in Arrah, is set to take place in Muzaffarpur on September 4 at 11 a.m.. Here, LJP-RV Chief Chirag Paswan will engage with the public, presenting his vision of "Bihar First, Bihari First" and a roadmap for a developed Bihar.
Targeting the Opposition's 'Voter Adhikar Yatra', Bharti accused them of turning it into a "personal program" for Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, and Tejashwi Yadav of Rashtriya Janata Dal.
He condemned the derogatory remarks directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that Yadav's statements echo the Jungle Raj era, characterized by threats of violence.
Bharti insisted, "The Opposition seeks to mislead the people of Bihar, but the public will not permit a return to the past."
With the Mahasabha in Muzaffarpur and ongoing negotiations over seat-sharing, attention will focus on how Chirag Paswan positions LJP-RV within the NDA as the Assembly elections approach.
