Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Meets to Outline Growth Strategy for 2025

Bhopal, Dec 26 (NationPress) The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, gathered on Thursday to assess the state government's performance for the current year, 2024, and to set ambitious goals for the forthcoming year, 2025.
The extensive cabinet meeting, referred to as 'Manthan', was attended by all council members and senior officials from various departments. Key discussions centered around fostering economic and industrial advancement, as well as enhancing employment opportunities for the populace.
The Cabinet also engaged in an in-depth discussion regarding the Ken-Betwa river interlinking project initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Additionally, conversations included the Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking project that connects Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
In a press briefing, Chief Minister Yadav noted that this was the first 'manthan' meeting of the year, where the council thoroughly discussed every action taken over the past year.
"Upon forming our government, we committed to doubling the state's budget within five years. We have implemented numerous measures in this regard, with the regional industrial meeting being one aspect of our strategy," Yadav stated.
The Chief Minister urged all Cabinet ministers to evaluate their departments' performance and devise a strategic plan for the upcoming year.
"Ministers have been instructed to formulate a comprehensive plan on optimizing our available resources for state growth," he added.
During the meeting, the council also deliberated on agricultural development in the state, ensuring farmers receive adequate support, including sufficient electricity and financial assistance for production.
"We aim to connect all 11 KV power transmission lines with a solar system, which will aid in making farmers self-sufficient in power supply," the Chief Minister remarked.
Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his guidance and the Centre's support in launching several key projects in the past year.
"Recently, PM Modi has provided significant initiatives like the Ken-Betwa and Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking project, which are set to enhance agricultural growth in the state. The Cabinet today conveyed its appreciation to PM Modi," CM Mohan Yadav commented.
