Bhopal, Dec 31 (NationPress) As the final hours of the year approached, the Madhya Pradesh Home Department released a comprehensive set of orders detailing significant promotions for Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across various ranks, effective from January 1, 2026.
The promotions encompass advancements to the ranks of Special Director General of Police (Special DGP), Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Inspector General of Police (IGP), Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), as well as Senior Scale and Junior Administrative Grade. This initiative is anticipated to enhance leadership capabilities and improve administrative effectiveness within the state's police force.
Among the notable advancements, Ashutosh Roy, a member of the 1994 batch, has been promoted from his role as Additional Director General of Police (AJAK) at Police Headquarters in Bhopal to Special Director General of Police in the same department, with a placement in Pay Matrix-16 (₹2,05,400–₹2,24,400).
Pramod Verma of the 2000 batch, who currently serves as Inspector General of the Jabalpur Zone, has been elevated to Additional Director General of Police/Inspector General in the same capacity under Pay Matrix-15 (₹1,82,200–₹2,24,100).
Three officers, including Niranjan B. Vayangankar (1999), have been promoted to the rank of Inspector General of Police under Pay Matrix-14 (₹1,44,200–₹2,18,200). This group also includes Shiyas A.
