The agreements were signed on Tuesday under the supervision of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
The contracts involve prominent companies, including Adani Power Limited, Torrent Power Limited, and Hindustan Thermal Projects Limited, alongside the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited.
According to the agreements, 1,600 MW has been assigned to Torrent Power Limited with a projected investment of Rs 24,000 crore, 800 MW to Adani Power Limited with an investment of Rs 24,000 crore, and 800 MW to Hindustan Thermal Projects Limited involving Rs 12,000 crore.

The Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company had called for tariff-based competitive bids to procure 3,200 MW from new plants within the state, with the greenshoe option for an additional 800 MW.
The successful bidders have established special-purpose vehicles to carry out the projects. These initiatives will be developed based on a design, build, finance, own, and operate model and are set to be located in the Anuppur district.
Power supply from these new facilities is projected to commence in 2030, significantly enhancing the state's overall power availability.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav underscored the crucial importance of electricity for the state's advancement. He described electricity as vital as life itself, asserting that just as life supports all bodily functions, adequate and dependable power is essential for industrial growth, development, and daily activities.
These agreements, he noted, will establish a robust foundation for sustainable development by ensuring a 100 percent supply to meet the state's electricity demand.
The new power plants are expected to create direct and indirect job opportunities for approximately 8,000 individuals, thereby enhancing rural and urban livelihoods in the region.
