Maha Kumbhnagar, Jan 14 (NationPress) As millions of devotees participated in the 'Amrit Snan' at the Triveni Sangam on the second day of Maha Kumbh 2025, the Uttar Pradesh government arranged a spectacular flower shower for pilgrims, saints, and Akharas visiting this sacred town.

Helicopters, utilized by the Yogi government, rained down flower petals on the devotees at the ghats and Akharas as they performed their holy dips in the river Ganga.

This enchanting spectacle enveloped the crowd in rose petals, creating a breathtaking visual experience.

The sight of rose petals cascading at the ghats deeply touched the devotees, prompting them to chant fervently, 'Jai Shri Ram' and 'Har Har Mahadev'.

The Horticulture Department, under the guidance of the Yogi Adityanath government, had been diligently preparing for these flower showers for several weeks. They arranged for the procurement and storage of rose petals to ensure a continuous shower during the bathing festival.

Plans are in place for similar flower showers during all significant 'Amrit Snan Parvs' of the Maha Kumbh, with approximately 20 quintals of rose petals designated for each event.

On Monday, during the initial bathing festival, Paush Purnima Snan, rose petals were showered on the devotees, and on the second day, Amrit Snan on Makar Sankranti, the divine floral display continued, leaving devotees filled with devotion and spiritual energy.

The Horticulture Department ensured they had enough stock for the first two days, arranging over 40 quintals of rose petals to preserve the splendor of the flower showers.

This thoughtful initiative by the Yogi government has made a profound impact on the devotees, greatly enhancing their spiritual journey at the Maha Kumbh, the largest congregation of followers of Sanatan Dharma.

The Maha Kumbh 2025 will witness millions of devotees flocking to the holy town of Prayagraj in the coming two months to immerse themselves in faith and to ‘cleanse their sins’.
