Mahakumbh: Advanced AI Security Initiatives with 2,700+ CCTVs and 123 Watchtowers Established

Mahakumbh Nagar, Jan 9 (NationPress) In a bid to provide a remarkable and completely secure Mahakumbh, the government led by Yogi has rolled out rigorous safety protocols. This year, AI technology has been utilized as a central component by law enforcement.
More than 2,700 AI-enhanced CCTV cameras have been placed across the Mahakumbh venue to observe any suspicious activities in real-time, transmitting reports directly to the control center.
The event will feature the presence of 37,000 police officers and 14,000 home guards to ensure law and order is maintained. Furthermore, specialized units such as the National Security Guard (NSG), Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Special Task Force (STF), and various other security organizations are on high alert.
With oversight from CCTV surveillance and intelligence operatives, every area of the Mahakumbh is under strict security protocols, eliminating any chances of breaches.
A total of 123 watchtowers have been established throughout the fairgrounds, staffed by snipers, NSG, ATS, and civil police personnel.
These watchtowers are meticulously designed for thorough monitoring of the area using binoculars. Each tower is outfitted with cutting-edge weaponry and high-tech devices to guarantee maximum safety.
The watchtowers have been strategically located at elevated and critical spots to eliminate any security gaps. In addition to police forces, Water Police and fire brigade units are also on high alert, prepared to tackle any emergencies.
DIG Vaibhav Krishna has indicated that the Mahakumbh is anticipated to draw approximately 45 crore devotees, pilgrims, Kalpavasis, and tourists from all around the globe. To ensure their safety, stringent surveillance is being upheld across every square inch of the fairgrounds.
Watchtowers have been strategically installed in all zones and sectors of the fair. Special provisions have also been established at the seven primary entry points.
Critical areas such as the Akhara region, Bade Hanuman Temple, Parade Ground, VIP Ghats, Arail, Jhunsi, and Salori have been fortified with dedicated watchtowers.
