Mumbai, March 27 (NationPress) Maharashtra's Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, announced on Friday that the state government is committed to ensuring accessible and high-quality healthcare services within a 5-8 km radius of every citizen's residence. He emphasized the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in improving measures for TB control, maternal and child health, and overall primary healthcare.

During his keynote speech at the 'PULSE – Platform for Unified Learning, Skills, Health, and Education' conference, the Chief Minister highlighted a three-tier approach to cancer treatment: focusing on diagnosis at the district level, treatment at the regional level, and advanced care at apex centers.

“Quality healthcare is increasingly available in rural settings through innovations like telemedicine and e-Sanjeevani. A proposal is underway to establish the Indian Institute of Public Health in Nagpur, which will play a pivotal role in public health, research, and strategic planning,” he noted.

CM Fadnavis articulated his vision for Maharashtra to emerge as a global leader in medical wellness tourism.
