The night-long festivities will commence with Pancha Bhuta Kriya at Dhyanalinga, a ritual honoring the five elements—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space. This will lead into the Linga Bhairavi Maha Yatra, a grand procession celebrating the divine feminine, featuring devotion, music, and meditation guided by Sadhguru.
Located at the base of the Velliangiri Mountains, the towering Adiyogi statue serves as the centerpiece of the celebrations, attracting global interest annually. The Mahashivratri event at the Isha Yoga Centre ranks among the most widely viewed spiritual gatherings worldwide, with live broadcasts reaching over 100 television networks and digital platforms in 24 languages, including both Indian and international audiences. The 2026 edition is projected to attract over 140 million viewers globally.

In Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, extensive arrangements have been finalized at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in preparation for the festival.
Administrator Pratham Kaushik of the Mahakal Temple stated, "This is a sacred festival of Mahashivratri, during which we anticipate a significant influx of devotees. Keeping this in mind, the temple administration, alongside the district administration, has completed all necessary preparations..."
