Man Arrested for Allegedly Slaying Mother and Four Sisters in Lucknow Hotel

Lucknow, Jan 1 (NationPress) In a disturbing incident, Lucknow Police detained a 24-year-old individual, identified as Arshad, for the alleged murder of his mother and four sisters due to a family conflict.

The brutal killings occurred at Hotel Sharanjeet in the Thana Naka locality of Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow on the very first day of the new year.

The remains of the victims, recognized as Alia (9), Alshia (19), Aksa (16), Rahmeen (18), and their mother, Asma, were found by hotel staff, who promptly notified local law enforcement.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Central Raveena Tyagi, "We received reports from the Thana Naka area indicating that five deceased individuals were discovered in a room at Hotel Sharanjeet. The local police quickly arrived to conduct an investigation."

"Arshad, approximately 25 years old and a resident of Agra, has been taken into custody. Initial inquiries revealed that he committed the murders due to ongoing family issues. Further investigations are in progress, and the victims' remains have been sent for autopsy," she stated.

Arshad, hailing from Islam Nagar, Tedi Bagiya, Kuberpur, Agra, reportedly admitted to the crime during interrogation, stating he acted out of frustration stemming from persistent family problems.

He allegedly first murdered his mother, followed by his four sisters with a blade, likely while they were asleep.

Other guests at the hotel expressed their shock upon hearing the news, claiming they had not heard a thing.

The police, accompanied by forensic teams, have sealed off the crime scene and are gathering evidence. Senior officers also visited the location, and the victims' remains have been sent for autopsy.

Ongoing investigations aim to reveal the complete details concerning the motive and conditions surrounding this tragic event.
