Davanagere, March 1 (NationPress) A court in Karnataka has sentenced a man to 20 years of imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 30,000 for the heinous act of raping a minor girl, all under the guise of recovering a Rs 10,000 loan he had provided to her deceased father.
The sentencing was handed down by Justice Srirama Narayana Hegde, with Public Prosecutor Sunanda B. Madivalara advocating for the victim.
The charges against Usman were filed on November 16, 2006, at the Davanagere Women's Police Station.
Usman had lent Rs 10,000 to the father of the victim and began frequent visits to their home to demand the repayment.

It was during one of these visits, while the girl was alone at home, that he raped her.
