New Delhi, April 19 (NationPress) In light of the recent turmoil in Murshidabad, West Bengal BJP figure Mithun Chakraborty has called for the enforcement of President’s Rule in the state. Supporting this viewpoint, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari expressed strong disapproval of the current situation, stating that the demand is arising from all quarters.
Speaking to IANS, Tiwari remarked, “It is undeniably true that horrific violence is being perpetrated against the Hindu community in West Bengal. Women are enduring significant atrocities, while the state government is focused on protecting the offenders. Consequently, there is an increasing call for President’s Rule throughout the state.”
“The West Bengal administration is attempting to shield criminals, which is utterly reprehensible,” he added.
In an unrelated incident in Delhi’s Mustafabad area, a tragic event unfolded when a four-story building collapsed around 3 a.m. on Saturday due to severe overnight rain and thunderstorms. At least four individuals have lost their lives, and 12 others are believed to be trapped beneath the rubble. Ongoing rescue efforts are underway.
Commenting on this disaster, Manoj Tiwari stated, “This is a profoundly distressing incident. The collapsed building is situated in Mustafabad, which is part of my North East Delhi constituency. Four people have perished, and rescue operations are still in progress. Once the rescue is complete, I will personally visit the site.”
Sandeep Lamba, Additional DCP (North East Delhi), confirmed, “Four out of the 14 rescued have succumbed to their injuries. The building was four stories tall. Rescue operations are continuing, and eight to ten individuals are feared trapped.”
Amidst this, following a recent murder in Seelampur, posters indicating the migration of Hindu residents have emerged. Assuring the community, Tiwari stated, “No one needs to flee. Some of the offenders have been apprehended, others have been identified, and the remaining will be caught soon. I assure everyone, no criminal will escape justice.”
