Manoj Tiwari has kicked off the Kanwar Yatra from Sultanganj, as captured in a recent photo by IANS. A sea of devotees and BJP supporters congregated at the Ghat, where Tiwari conducted rituals prior to embarking on his 110-kilometre trek to Deoghar.

With chants of “Har Har Mahadev” echoing in the air, the atmosphere was vibrant, marked by fluttering saffron flags and heightened religious enthusiasm.

Before setting off, Tiwari offered prayers to Lord Shiva (Bholenath), seeking peace, prosperity, and development for Bihar. He expressed optimism that the NDA would regain power in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

“The public is tired of false promises; they desire real development, not just empty words,” Tiwari asserted.

“In the upcoming elections, the NDA will reclaim governance. I have sought blessings from Baba Baidyanath for this,” he elaborated.

Tiwari did not hold back in criticizing RJD MLA Bhai Virendra, alleging he is out of touch with the populace and engages in media-driven dialogue.

“Figures like Bhai Virendra only perform for the cameras; they lack connection with reality,” he stated.

Addressing the recent turmoil involving Tej Pratap Yadav, Tiwari remarked that it is primarily an internal issue for the RJD, yet emphasized that necessary disciplinary actions should be enforced.

The yatra adopted a political flavor as several local BJP leaders accompanied Tiwari at the Ganga Ghat. They gathered water together and extended their best wishes for his pilgrimage. The yatra is set to traverse various towns, with grand receptions organized by BJP activists and supporters along the pathway.

The Kanwar Yatra is expected to culminate in Deoghar, where Tiwari will conduct Jalabhishek at the Baidyanath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and a significant pilgrimage location during the Shravan month.
