Gurugram, April 7 (NationPress) The sweeping machine agency VN Engineering has been fined Rs 25,000 due to inadequate cleanliness, as reported by an official on Monday.

According to the official, the action was initiated by Joint Commissioner Sumit Kumar of the Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG) during an inspection conducted on Monday.

Joint Commissioner Sumit Kumar, along with Senior Sanitation Inspector Devender Kumar, assessed the cleanliness in the Zone-4 area.

They examined various locations, inspecting the sanitation personnel and tractor-trolleys, providing essential directions to the supervisors and assistant sanitation inspectors.

The inspection covered both sides of the road from Old SPR to Vatika Chowk, New SPR Ghata Chowk to Vatika Chowk, Rajesh Pilot Road, and the roads in Sector-65 and 66, along with surrounding regions.

“During the inspection, it was observed that a significant accumulation of mud existed on the left side of the road. Furthermore, soil was being blown onto the road, indicating that either the agency failed to perform any work on this road or the brush on the left side of the sweeping machine was ineffective. Consequently, the cleanliness status of the road is quite poor,” the official stated.

He further mentioned that due to the agency's negligence, the NGT orders are being ignored, adversely affecting the reputation of the Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG).

“A fine of Rs 25,000 has been levied against the sweeping machine agency VN Engineering,” Joint Commissioner Sumit Kumar confirmed.

Additionally, the agency has been directed to complete the cleaning of all mentioned roads within a week and submit a report, including photographs, to the office.

“Should the agency fail to comply, appropriate actions will be taken as per regulations,” he noted.

MCG Commissioner Ashok Kumar Garg has mandated that all joint commissioners submit daily reports verifying the presence of cleaning staff and the availability of cleaning resources and vehicles in their respective zones.

Surprise inspections will be conducted to evaluate the cleanliness system and to take action against the responsible agency in case of any discovered negligence.
