According to MCG Commissioner Ashok Kumar Garg, it is essential for all bulk waste generators within the municipal limits to comply with the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.
This initiative mandates that BWGs categorize waste generated at their locations into wet, dry, and hazardous waste, and dispose of it accordingly.
The corporation's cleanliness teams are routinely monitoring BWGs, and those failing to comply will be penalized as per the regulations.
"The corporation is also running an online portal for BWG registration, which is compulsory for all BWGs," Garg stated.
Furthermore, the corporation has communicated this requirement to all BWGs through notices and various promotional channels.
"We urge BWGs to embrace their waste management responsibilities and assist in making Gurugram a cleaner, more beautiful, and improved city," he added.
