Post-summit, President Lee will join a roundtable with business leaders from both countries, followed by a state luncheon hosted by President Droupadi Murmu.
President Lee arrived in New Delhi on Sunday for a three-day official visit.
Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Harsh Malhotra welcomed President Lee and First Lady Kim Hea Kyung at the airport.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with President Lee on Sunday, commending his dedication to enhancing relationships across various sectors and expressing optimism that this visit will further solidify the Special Strategic Partnership between India and South Korea.
As noted by Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, the South Korean President's trip to India signifies an "important milestone" in the advancement of the Special Strategic Partnership between both countries.
"We extend a warm welcome to His Excellency President Lee Jae Myung of the Republic of Korea as he arrives in New Delhi for his State Visit to India. This is President Lee’s inaugural visit to India," Jaiswal shared on X.
"President Lee was greeted by Shri Harsh Malhotra, MoS for Corporate Affairs and Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. This visit marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of the India-South Korea Special Strategic Partnership," he added.
South Korean President Lee is on a three-day visit to India at the invitation of PM Modi.
Accompanied by First Lady Kim Hea Kyung and a high-ranking delegation of ministers, senior officials, and business leaders, this marks President Lee’s first visit to India.
This visit represents a significant opportunity to further deepen the relationship between India and South Korea, both of which share a robust and multifaceted partnership rooted in historic civilizational connections and mutual democratic values.
