Kolkata, April 11 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the citizens of West Bengal during his final campaign rally on Saturday to overthrow the Trinamool Congress regime, which he claims has been deceiving the populace for the past 15 years.
He stated, “You granted the previous Left Front administration a chance for 34 years. Following that, you awarded three consecutive terms to the Trinamool Congress, which has now ruled over you for 15 years. They continue to win elections by making false promises and targeting me with insults.”
“I want to pose a question, if there has been no progress in the state over the last 15 years, how can you expect any future development by giving the Trinamool Congress another five-year term? During these past years, the governance has been characterized by corruption and terror. Therefore, it’s time to change this regime that has thrived on lies for the past 15 years. Give us a chance for five years,” he added.
The Prime Minister made these remarks at a rally in Kushmandi, located in the South Dinajpur district of West Bengal.
Previously, he held two other campaign rallies, one in Katwa, East Burdwan district, and the other in Jangipur, Murshidabad district.
During his speech, he also mentioned that if the BJP gains power in West Bengal, they would establish a special committee comprising retired Supreme Court judges to investigate incidents of corruption and other forms of misgovernance that occurred during the 15 years of Trinamool Congress rule.
“This committee will work to deliver justice to the victims of such mismanagement and corruption. Our primary goal is to lift the people of West Bengal from this enduring despair and assure them of future growth and tranquility,” stated PM Modi.
He added that upon assuming power, the initial duty of the BJP government in West Bengal would be to reopen all files related to rape and rape-murder cases in the state.
“This is my commitment to the women of West Bengal. Every such case will be revisited, and every perpetrator will face justice,” PM Modi affirmed.
